Week Three: Sprint Rhythm

“Efforts and courage are not enough without purpose and direction”
– John F. Kennedy, 35th president of the United States –

With almost three weeks in the book, it’s time to start nailing down our sprint rhythm. Sprint plan-sprint goals-retros, rinse and repeat. To make the process more visible, the following poster was plastered on the project room glass, right above the visual timeline and the sprint board.

What began as a way to simply document the process (#boring), was aborted in favour of drawing it all out on the white-table.

  1. Period (Ideation, prototyping, production etc.)
  2. Week #
  3. Sprint length and dates (weekly)
  4. Sprint board user stories

As we move towards week 04, we will likely enter our first prototyping stage. Establishing a rhythm that keeps team morale high and both individual and team purpose strong, is pivotal.  Roll on next sprint!
